What are you currently reading?

Sweet Pea by C.J. Skuse

This was a Christmas present from my fiancé and I have to say, as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I’d love the main protagonist – Rhiannon. She essentially hates everyone and takes it one step further by murdering them. I love me some revenge stories and this definitely fits the bill.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

As I mentioned before this was also a Christmas present, this one from my sister. It took me until after finishing the book that the title spells out THUG, lol. I loved this book and I loved Starr. And I loved how the author was true to reality when she wrote the story, not dressing it up in pretty bows and telling it like you think we want it to be. It’s a harsh reality and in that sense it’s very powerful. I can’t wait for the film!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Wild by Cheryl Strayed

I love Cheryl Strayed. I read her book Tiny Beautiful Things a few years back and I listened to Dear Sugars religiously. I haven’t seen the film yet but I want to read the book first. It might not be the next book I get to, but it’s on the list.
